Heading North again.

We made the journey across northern New South Wales in 3 days! The scenery went past in a bit of a blur.  Geoff's Memories of Bingara and Inverell didn't include mountain ranges...funny that, considering its up on the NSW highlands!
We visited many of Geoff's childhood haunts and then moved on to Lismore to see family!
We went and checked out some of the nearby beaches and then moved on to Brisbane to catch up with some more of Geoff's family, my family next time!
We then travelled to Toowoomba and stayed of a few days. Brisbane was far too hot!
Toowoomba is lovely but damn you have to travel through more mountains to get there.  We then began the homeward trek toward Mount Isa via Longreach.
Be warned ...the worst water we came across in all our travels was at Blackall! Yuck!
After Longreach and the Hall of Fame and the Aviation Museum we decided to travel on to Winton, got to Winton and decided we were too close to Mount Isa and decided to keep travelling. What a long drive - Long Reach to Mt Isa in one day. We were absolutely stuffed but it was great to see the kids.

We spent a lovely Christmas and New Year with them and then sadly we had to come home to Townsville.
I would put more photos on but were we are staying in Townsville the download is sooooo slow!
So this will be my last blog entry. Hope you enjoyed sharing our travels.
