Elliston on the Bight side of the Peninsular to Whyalla in the Spencer Gulf.

Leaving Elliston we travelled down the coast first stopping at Jacobs Well Lookout, which overlooks the open ocean of the bight and is supposed to be a great viewing platform during whale season.  Yes another long walk down and up hill.

We continued on and stopped briefly at Coffin Bay which we'd heard a lot about and decided to see for ourselves. What a disappointment! Because it is close to Port Lincoln on the bottom of the Peninsular many people have broought property at Coffin Bay turning it into suburbia by the beach! Narrow roads, lots of traffic, pretty enough place but not really special.

Nearly to Whyalla and there was another huge superpit!
Whyalla the home of the Australian Steel Industry.  Tiem for a rest and some more touristy stuff!
We camped the caravan up right on the foreshore at the caravan park.  Lovely views! It was blowing a gale when we got there, but I told the park owner not to worry that it would die down now that I'd arrived - and sure enough by the next morning it had died down to a gentle breeze! I strike again!
