Denham to Geraldton

This unusual wall was around someone's place at the crossroads as we drove out of the Denham area and re-entered the main southern highway.

Again it was amazing to see the vastly differing landscapes as we travelled south.

Northhampton area is a large crop producing area. But acting a colourful picture frame around the boundaries of the farmed areas.

Sheepies! They dotted large green pastures like furry boulders.

I put this in because I thought it was cute!

Lots of older style buildings in the area of Northhampton.

As we started to get back towards the coastline we could see large sand dunes which had become vegetated after the huge wet season.

The sea! We are back along the coast again. Yeah! Nearly to Geraldton and then on to Cervantes.

GERALDTON
Geraldton is a medium size town with the most amazing collection of beaches.

No idea what is happening and why but it took a cool photo.

This is NOT a seagull, this is a much larger seabird a with a wicked, fat beak.

Point Moore Lighthouse.

Oh Gee a wave!  My luck is running true to form - all down the coastline the seas where calm and flat enough to walk across if you had those kind of powers.  Me - I'm just a water witch - I made a bet with Geoff that Perth Surf beaches would be the same!

A young sea eagle ws preening itself above where I was sitting and he decided to pose for me.

HMAS Sydney 11 Memorial, the tower is made like the prow of a ship with fathom markers down the side.  If you look at it from close up it is more noticeable. The dome is made of hundreds of cut out metal birds.

I think Geradton's main claim to fame besides its gorgeous beaches is it large fishing harbour.

See what I mean seas flat - not a wave in sight!   Sigh!
Sigh!
